Tweeprose: ‘Save the World’ by A. N. Gretly (for @saveZworld)

And there it is, right over there, that small rock hovering in space. Watch it now, see how it revolves around itself chasing its tail? See how it revolves around a medium sized star? See that star revolving around the center of the galaxy, and that galaxy revolving around the center of the universe? And in this precise universe, in this specific galaxy, in this exact solar system, and on that small rock floating in space, people bare the burden of being alive. And on that small rock, beneath these blue skys, amid the deserts and fields and forests and rivers and seas, those people, those human beings kill each other in the name of something or nothing at all.

See the Earth spin? Spin, Earth, spin! Spin out of control, and shake them all off like blood-hungry flees.

Dizzy now, little Tank Man? Nauseous with your guns, guns, guns, and bombs? I’ve seen the likes of you many a-time, all the time, any time or place or space, any race at any pace. I’ve seen them killing the innocent for the ignorant in the name of the unknown to satisfy their endless greed, and feed their egos. But alas, their egos are bottomless wells, and their greed, infinite.

“But who will save the world?” Asked sweet Angel Eyes

“No one, love,” I replied “There is no saving humans from their lack of humanity.”

And so on.
