‘A Brief Note On Human Beings’ by Ahmed Nader Gretly

All these godforsaken creatures called human beings piss me off, man. Sick beings who never cease to judge you at any given circumstance; they judge you for being yourself and try immensely to imprint their own thoughts into your head. They strive to control you so they construct their own visions of your life and future; they force you to take these paths or plans or whatever. And later on, they hurt you for not being able to follow their plans, they abuse you for seeming to be “Not normal”. I think it’s just too unnatural, all this hate they feed you, how they hurt you and criticize you for having a dream or being someone they cannot accept. I do not understand how a person can say something that can be hurtful to another, just like that, without thinking about other people’s feelings. Words hurt, they do, more than anything; they even hurt more coming from someone who supposedly cares about your well-being. They mockingly throw these words like bullets, hitting you right in the heart. You feel like the whole world is plotting against you, that you’re a worthless nobody with no reason to live, a failure who fucks up everything and causes problems to everyone. All these emotions are caused by those who are presumably “cool” or older and “wiser”.

Hear me out now, in case we ever meet. Read my words carefully because this is very important; I just want you to take some time and think about these words: You are beautiful. You are human, Whether you’re gay or straight, you’re still beautiful. Wether you’re black, white, yellow, brown or even blue; you’re still beautiful. Wether you’re Muslim, Christian, Jewish or Buddhist; I still love you. If you think you’re over-weight; I love you. If you think you’re too skinny; I love you. If you feel down and out in the world, and you’re too depressed, I’ll hold you. If you cut and want to quit; I’ll help you. And even if you don’t want to quit; I’ll accept you, because we’re all children of the universe; we’re all the same no matter what. Just feel free to be who you want to be, and never be ashamed of who you are. Smile, because people who smile are the most beautiful.

  1. This is an amazing post. If everyone thought like you, the world would be so much better off.
